1. Machu Picchu Full Day by Panoramic Train (1 Day)
If your itinerary in Peru is tight, this is the perfect option to make sure you don't miss the jewel of the Inca Empire while optimizing every minute of your time (Special offer approx. $345 USD).
The Itinerary: We start very early (around 4:00 AM) with a pick-up from your hotel in Cusco to head to the train station in Ollantaytambo. From there, you will board a train (Expedition or Vistadome) to Aguas Calientes, enjoying spectacular views of the Vilcanota River. Upon arrival, we take the ecological bus (Consettur) that winds its way up to the citadel's entrance.
The Experience: You will have a guided tour of approximately 2 to 2.5 hours exploring the main temples, terraces, and residential areas. In the afternoon, you will return to Cusco by train and private transport.
2. Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu (2 Days / 1 Night)
Our most highly recommended route. It allows you to acclimatize, visit more archaeological sites, and sleep at the foot of the World Wonder.
Day 1: We explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We visit the vibrant market and ruins of Pisac, have lunch in Urubamba, and explore the fortress of Ollantaytambo. In the afternoon, we take the train to Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night in a comfortable hotel.
Day 2: We head up to Machu Picchu first thing in the morning. Being one of the first to enter allows you to enjoy the sunrise and the citadel with fewer crowds. After the guided tour, you'll have time for lunch in town before taking the train back to Cusco.
3. The Classic Inca Trail (4 Days / 3 Nights)
For adventurers seeking the ultimate experience. This route requires booking months in advance due to strict Peruvian government limits.
The Challenge: You will hike along ancient cobbled paths, overcoming the famous "Dead Woman's Pass" at 4,200 meters above sea level. You will visit exclusive ruins like Runkurakay, Sayacmarca, and the beautiful Wiñay Wayna complex.
The Reward: On the fourth day, you will hike at dawn to reach the Inti Punku (Sun Gate) for your first panoramic view of Machu Picchu bathed in the morning light. A life-changing moment.
