One of Peru's best treks, the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu is an excellent alternative to the Inca Trail. This 5-day small-group hiking adventure will take you through diverse ecosystems, from snow-capped peaks to cloud forests, and includes accommodation, porters, meals, and hotel pickup.
